Research and development of advanced technical yarns

IVACE has awarded us a grant that has funding from the ERDF for the project "INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF ADVANCED TECHNICAL YARNS"


The Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) has awarded us a subsidy of €52,516.57, which has financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in a percentage of 50% through the ERDF Operational Program of the Valencian Community 2014 -2020 for this project "INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF ADVANCED TECHNICAL YARN" and file number IMIDTA/2020/77 submitted to the PIDI-CV program.


This project, promoted by Hilaturas Mar, had as its objective the research and development of yarns using the DREF system for the construction of transport systems. This is capable of withstanding the temperatures of the ovens for the manufacture of industrial materials and, in turn, minimizing static charges that the high speeds of these transport systems can produce.


This project has been a great business opportunity based on an important advance in the ability to offer technical products with high performance, which can incorporate steel as an intimate mix of the DREF yarn.

All of this has been achieved through the development of yarns carried out using the DREF spinning system with a high-resistance continuous Para-aramid core and covered with recycled Para-aramid fibers mixed with a mixture of stainless steel fibers.


For the company, this project has been a great business opportunity based on a significant advance in the ability to offer high-performance technical products that can incorporate steel as an intimate blend of the DREF yarn. Thing that opens the way to future developments in which the characteristics of steel can be added to those of Para-aramid. In addition, it allows to solve an important problem that the manufacturing companies of industrial slats currently have. Being able to carry out products of high thermal resistance with the capacity to reduce static electricity and, all this, carried out with a significant reduction in the weight of the panel and, therefore, with a reduction in installation and maintenance costs.


Both things will allow the company to improve its position within this market and to advance in the possibility of carrying out new developments for this type of client.
