BioTwine at SIVAL: L’agriculture durable parle français

Following our participation as exhibitors at the SIVAL Trade Fair in Angers, we came away with very positive impressions.

Angers, located in one of the greenest regions of France, is know for its excellent gastronomy, its castles, and its strong connection to agriculture and horticultural innovation. It is the perfect setting to host a highly specialized trade fair such as SIVAL, a key meeting point for the greenhouse sector in France.

During the event, we presented BioTwine by Hilaturas Mar, our compostable and biodegradable ficelle" twine for supporting fruits and vegetables in greenhouses. At the end of the growing season, it can be composted together with plant residues, helping farmers save on landfill fees and move towards more sustainable production.

The fair attracted a large number of professionals, mainly distributors and direct growers, and represents nearly 90% of the French market, with visitors coming from different production areas across the country. The interest shown was remarkable, especially for crops such as cucumbers and tomatoes.

We are very satisfied with the organization and the highly professional profile of SIVAL. The reception of BioTwine was excellent and, without a doubt, we will be back next year.
