At the recent GreenTech fair in Amsterdam, where we participated as exhibitors for the second consecutive year, we showcased our biodegradable and compostable BioTwine cellulose twines, a superior alternative to traditional raffia cords.
These twines are specially designed for the cultivation of peppers, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes, as well as other fruits and vegetables in greenhouses.
Our range includes two main types: the hybrid BioTwine and the standard BioTwine, both characterized by their high strength, low elongation, and exceptional performance. They come with FSC®, Home Compost, Industrial Compost, and Biodegradable Soil certifications, ensuring their complete compostability and effective plant support.
Evolving environmental regulations are shaping a landscape where agricultural waste must meet stricter sustainability and waste management standards. Opting for solutions like our BioTwine cellulose twines not only helps comply with these regulations but also offers significant environmental and operational benefits for farmers and the industry as a whole.
At this GreenTech fair edition, we received great interest from potential horticultural customers internationally, from Europe (Poland, Italy, Sweden, Romania, Ireland) as well as the Americas (Canada, Brazil, Peru) and other regions such as the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
Although we have seen good interest from local companies in Spain, we encourage more companies to join the drive towards sustainability. This approach not only represents the future but also follows the successful path that other countries have already begun to tread.
